NAWIC offers educational opportunities for everyone in the construction industry, including monthly program meetings.
A separately incorporated organization, which develops educational programs for NAWIC members and non-members. By taking one of the educations courses and passing the associated test a certification can be earned.

The following current and former members of Alaska Chapter #197 have successfully completed the educational requirements and attained the following certifications:
Certified Construction Associate (CCA)
An advanced six-part, self study course certification course in construction terminology, procedurews and processes.
Construction Document Specialist (CDS)
A comprehensive introductory look at the construction industry that will prepare you for the construction industry and provide a foundation for furthering you training and education opportunities to excel your career pathway. This course tests the knowledge of the interpretation of information conveyed from architects and engineers to contractors by way of a legal document. This program is based on the Intermediate Construction textbook, which covers Drawings, Specifications, Estimating and Scheduling.
Construction Industry Technician (CIT)
A certification program provides and overview of the construction industry and its processes. The lessons to be covered include subjects including the types of construction, construction forms, forms of business ownership, contractual arrangements, contract documents and the construcction process.
Construction Document Technician (CDT)
A comprehensive understanding of the project's construction document is neessary to prepar an estimate for submitting a bid and to prepare a project schedule for controlling costs after the contract is awarded.
Construction Industry Specialist (CIS)
A certification program created for those individuals wishing to increase their overall knowledge of the construction industry. This comprehensive look at the construction industry inclused
Project Team, Business Environments and Project Delivery, The Project Manual, Construction Drawings, Estimating and bidding techniques, the construction procress, construction administration and
construction contracts that will prepare any student for future training.
Certified Bookkeeping Technician (CBT)
Whether you aspire to be an accounts payable clerk or a full charge bookkeeper or just want to understand the whole system of bookkeeping this course will provide you this information.
