NAWIC
BOOK CLUB
Join us as we dive deep into the trenches of the stories that will inspire us to be leaders.
WELCOME TO THE BOOK CLUB
We selected a lineup of leadership theme books for the coming year. Each quarter we will dive into a new book which you may purchase from us or online. Then we will gather as a group (in-person or virtually) to discuss what we read. You are able to purchase the books online from NAWIC.

Don't worry: This is not your average book club. No homework, no obligations, and definitely no "must-dos." Whether you've already finished the book or waiting to read it, everyone is welcome.
FIRST BOOK SPOTLIGHT
WHAT GOT YOU HERE WON'T GET YOU THERE
BY: MARSHALL GOLDSMITH

In this book, Goldsmith explains how you can reach your full potential by eliminating 21 harmful work behaviors. He argues that while engaging in these behaviors may not have stopped you from getting "here"- to your current level of success- they won't get you "there" - to the heights of success that you ultimately aspire to.

SECOND BOOK SPOTLIGHT
THE ONE THING
BY: GARY KELLER & JAY PAPASAN

In this book, the authors explain how to determine your goal or life purpose, then focus intensely on getting there, while avoiding pitfalls such as multitasking, relying on an unprioritized to-do list, thinking too small, and misunderstanding willpower and discipline, and neglecting your personal life. When you focus on the most important thing every day, everything else falls into place.
