AGC of Alaska & Zoom, 8005 Schoon St, Anchorage, AK 99518, USA
About the Event
Developing a systematic approach to managing changes in your government contract(s) is critical for cash flow, contract compliance, and overall performance. Handling contractual changes correctly can create positive prime/sub relationships as well as prime/owner relationships. The first step is known when a “change” is triggered. The second step is to document and notify. The third step is to ensure that the “change” has correctly been authorized before it is actualized. Seems easy – but is it really?
Join NAWIC as Jody King teaches us about managing contract changes. Jody will cover the following topics:
- Identifying changes – is the change part of the scope?
- Change clauses – What’s in your contract?
- Identifying & tracking costs – what is the internal communication process? What is the external communication process?
- Documenting the “go ahead” to perform/incorporate the change Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REA) & Change Orders
This event will be held in person at the AGC of Alaska office and virtually on Zoom. Thank you for participating in Women in Construction Week! To learn more about other WIC week events, visit https://www.nawic-ak.org/women-in-construction-week.
