Job Site Tour & 1/2 Day Volunteer Event at Habitat for Humanity

We're generating some girl power for Habitat for Humanity this month. NAWIC is hosting a volunteer group day at Habitat for Humanity Anchorage's current housing project in East Anchorage. Registration will be available for two shifts (up to 6 volunteers per shift) on Wednesday, June 30 from 8:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm. For lunch (12:00pm-1:00pm), we invite all members to join us for a BBQ to learn about how Habitat builds energy-efficient and affordable homes in partnership with local families. 

Parking is limited at the jobsite. For volunteers, please park at Muldoon Elementary and you will be shuttled to the jobsite. For members only joining the lunch, find a spot on one of the roads nearby.

Scope of work: Carpentry

Volunteer Shifts: 

• AM Shift: 8:30am-12:00pm
• PM Shift: 1:00pm-4:00pm

BBQ Lunch: 12:00pm-1:00pm

If you are able to volunteer to host the lunch portion of the event, please let us know because we can use the extra hands for cooking and setting up.

Habitat for Humanity will provide PPE but if you are more comfortable using your own, you are welcome to bring your gear. Please dress for the weather because this will be an outside event.
