Site Tour at USFWS Lake Hood Hangar

If you missed the first tour of this site visit, this is your chance to check it out!

Mack Pennington with STG Pacific will provide NAWIC a site visit of the USFWS Lake Hood Hangar being constructed by STG Pacific and Davis Constructors (STGP Davis JV). Mack will bring us through the site to see the new location of the hangar, concrete footings, anchor bolts, site work, and utilities. He will also speak about the environmental, design, and winter construction aspects of this project.

STGP Davis JV is contracted to complete the design and construction of a new 20,000 sqft airplane hangar as well as demolition of an existing hangar. The team managed the historical designation and section 106 process with SHPO for existing hangar demolition and removal of contaminated material both within and underneath the existing hangar. The new pre-engineered building features insulated metal panels, (5) hangar doors, a complete security system, in-floor radiant heat, and in-wall aircraft winches.

Driving Directions: Head west on W International Airport Road towards Ted Steven Anchorage International Airport, turn Right on Rutan Place, turn Left on Lear Ct, Go to the end of Lear Ct, turn Right to the Department of Interior parking lot, Drive through Gate, Park next to the Job Trailers.
