About the Event
Whether you feel nervous or just a little rusty when it comes to public speaking, like most things, a little preparation can go a long way to ensuring your success. Learning that there are nine keys to giving great public remarks can sound overwhelming, but this workshop is designed to help you realize you already have five of those keys in the bag--you just didn't know it! Come with your experiences, and leave with a custom toolbox loaded with everything you need to tell your story.
About the Speaker:
Nick Tabaczka is the Employee Education Specialist at Hope Community Resources, Inc., a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Before joining Hope, he spent time as the creative copywriter for MSI Communications, taught history and philosophy within the Anchorage School District, and also served 14 years in the U.S. Army--including four combat deployments. He holds a B.A. in Political Science with minors in mathematics and communications from UAA and a Masters of Education degree from UAF. One of his lifelong professional passions is his desire to encourage people of all ages and experiences to express themselves in the marketplace of ideas both in writing and through public speaking. If he isn't in a classroom, you'll likely find Nick backpacking or kayak camping throughout the Kenai Peninsula or in the Prince William Sound.
